The expected photo of David Silva with his baby, who was born with 25 weeks

When your baby is born premature and nothing is as you expected, it is a serious blow to the parents, be you the neighbor of the corner or a first level soccer player like David Silva.

The Spanish player of Manchester City yesterday introduced his five-month-old son Mateo in front of the cameras on the playing field, becoming the protagonist of the match. The moment was most emotional, since the baby was born with just 25 weeks of gestation, a state of extreme prematurity that made them fear for their lives.

Five months admitted

Mateo was born at the end of 2017 much earlier than expected, with 25 weeks, and had to remain admitted for five months in the neonatal ICU of the Casa de Salud Hospital, in Valencia. The first days were especially hard, but the little one struggled with all his might clinging to life and finally on May 15 he was discharged.

They were very hard months for the family, and especially for the player who was constantly traveling from England to Valencia, where his baby was admitted, and had to be absent during several games.

Despite the uncertainty and the hard fight, at that time the forces leave where they least expect, and Mateo became the engine that drove the player to move forward.

My 3rd league but this one is the most special. Thanks to everyone for supporting me in this tough yearWere Champions

Mateo is considered an extreme premature baby, they are those born before the 28th week of gestation with great fragility but fortunately more and more get ahead. The survival in Spain of babies born between the 22nd and 28th week of gestation is in approximately 65 percent.

The family, the most important

Whether your job is to be a professional football player, cook or employee in an office, the family is the most important thing and when an extreme situation occurs such as the premature birth of a child, it is key that parents are involved in their care and recovery.

Not everyone understands it, that's why the gesture of Guardiola, the coach of the football club where Silva plays, is very commendable, who repeatedly stressed that, more important than football, it was family, and the player thanked him for his support in the most difficult moments.

An unforgettable moment for the player, for the family and for little Mateo, who when he is older can remember the love with which he was received after fighting for his life as a champion.
