Toy Story 4: the fun and emotional end of a saga full of lessons for kids and adults that you can't miss

24 years ago, he came to the screens 'Toy Story', the first feature film of Pixar and the first animated film made entirely with digital effects. At that time, we met the story of Woody and Buzz, two completely opposite characters that have a difficult start, but end up becoming a great team.

Now, after more than two decades after the premiere of that first toy movie, we see its fourth and final installment arrive on the big screen. I share you, without spoilers, why Toy Story 4 is the deserved closure of a saga with which many grew up, leaving us many smiles and wonderful lessons for the whole family.

Like many people who are in their thirties, 'Toy Story' has a special place in my heart. Many of us grew up with Andy and accompanied the toys through all these years in all those great and incredible adventures.

In Babies and more, today 'Toy Story 4' is released in theaters and we have many reasons to go see it

I must admit, that I had my reservations about this latest installment, because although I would certainly not miss it, I initially thought the same as many people and it seemed a bit unnecessary, because the story of this peculiar group of toys had a very beautiful closure when Andy said goodbye, and they started a new life with little Bonnie.

However, now that I have seen it, I have understood it, and that fear that I had of ruining a great animated saga has definitely disappeared. I can say that Pixar surprises us once again, giving us one last adventure of these toys that many of us love.

What's up Toy Story 4

At the end of the third installment of this saga, we agreed that the toys now had a new girl: little Bonnie, who attends the Sunny Side nursery where her mother worked. Now, in this new movie, Bonnie is about to begin a new stage in her life as the beginning of her preschool education approaches.

Unlike previous movies in which the whole set of toys worked as a great team, now the main story revolves around Woody, who has only one goal: to take care and make Bonnie happy.

The idea of starting to attend preschool is not exciting for the little girl, because as we remember from the previous film, she is somewhat shy and does not usually socialize much. During her adaptation process, which turns out to be something lonely, she creates Forky, that peculiar character made from a disposable fork that we could see in the teasers of the movie.

The new member returns home with Woody, but he has many problems adapting to the toy group, who despite showing some doubts at the beginning, end up accepting him and helping Woody during Forky's own adaptation process.

In Babies and more Toy Story 4 final trailer: the mission of Woody and his friends to rescue Forky

Of course, as in the previous installments of 'Toy Story', the adventure could not be missed and once again, toys should be launched to search and rescue one of them, who this time, is nothing more and nothing less than Forky.

A road trip, an antique shop and a fair, are the main scenarios in which this new and fun adventure takes place, in which They will meet a character from their past: Pastor Bo Peep, who to Woody's surprise, has changed a lot since the last time they met.

With the help of her and new characters like Ducky and Bunn, Duke Kaboom and the tiny Giggle McDimples, inspired by the famous and tiny Polly Pockets of the 1990s, Woody will get into new and mysterious adventures to rescue Forky and restore peace to Bonnie.

Why you can't miss it

Each Toy Story movie has given us beautiful lessons in which the value of friendship predominates, and this is no exception. An example of this is Woody's message of inclusion when Forky comes to the life of the toy group, advocating for him to receive him as one of them despite being different.

On the other hand, we have a strong message from female empowerment: Bo Peep is no longer that sweet and helpless pastor that we saw for the last time in the second installment of Toy Story, and has grown and matured to become a self-sufficient woman, more liberal and feminist, which also gives Woody a different vision about what a toy can want.

Other positive messages that we can find within the film are those related to change, especially those that show us that Although we can fear him, we must also learn to take risks and not stay in our comfort zone, and understand that a good friend will always want you to be happy, even if you are not by his side.

Personally, I really enjoyed watching 'Toy Story 4' from beginning to end, although I must say that some of the scenes may not be so funny for the little ones. I even got the impression that this last installment was made mainly for the public that grew up with it or that already has its own children, because there were several scenes of Woody with which no doubt many fathers and mothers will identify.

It is true what some people say: perhaps it was not necessary, but certainly 'Toy Story 4' gives us one last and very fun adventure in which laughter is definitely lacking, but that also, says goodbye with an emotional and bittersweet ending for this beloved group of toys.
