ALE! Organizes TRENBrick to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Madrid Railway Museum

He Train museum is since 1984, in the old train station of Madrid Delights. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Museum the Cultural Association of LEGO Construction Fans of Spain ALE! has organized the 2nd Railway Meeting of LEGO fans, TRENBrick, where a tour will be made throughout the history of the Spanish railway with more than 60 historic trains, locomotives, wagons or passengers recreated entirely with LEGO parts. This exhibition open to the public and in which more than 50 fans will participate, the days will take place October 18 and 19 2014, on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Madrid Railway Museum. In addition, on Saturday, children under 12 can access for free.

The exhibition is built on a base composed of almost a million points of the LEGO bricks on which buildings, railroad tracks, trees, minifigures and ambient landscapes will be supported. Only on railroad tracks, the construction has more than 2,500 sections of track to form almost 400 meters of circuit where the automatically controlled trains will circulate simultaneously through an electronic traffic light system devised by one of the partners. Among all the trains, more than 1,500 kilometers will be traveled during the weekend. The exhibition presents spanish historical trains Y Portuguese, from steam mining locomotives from the mid-nineteenth century to the modern AVE.

Miguel Polished He is the vice president of ALE! and one of the organizers of the event. In the association they will work for hours so that the exhibition looks like in all the editions in which ALE participates! In addition, during the weekend they will continue to build and recreate scenarios in Madrid such as the Prince Pío Station, the Towers of the Puerta de Europa, the Puerta de Alcalá, the Fountain of the Fallen Angel and the statue of Columbus. You can also see a huge 100% LEGO railway bridge over 3 meters long and 2 meters high.

We will also see sets of LEGO trains from the 70s to the present and trains designed by amateurs such as locomotives of mining trains of the late nineteenth century, steam locomotives, passenger wagons and goods and even a modern AVE. TRENBrick travels over 150 years of the history of the Spanish railway and it will bring to the memory of the visitors many memories, thanks to the numerous details and curiosities such as recreations of railway rolling stock of all time.

TRENBrick There will also be a corner dedicated to kids who, throughout the exhibition, will be able to build their own railway network emulating the great LEGO builders and where, in addition, a painting workshop will be held so that they can color scenes and LEGO minigigures, to which is not necessary prior registration.

From ALE! they encourage all fans to participate in the event, to associate, to share the LEGO experience and to participate in the fun contest of minifigures search losses. And it is that nine of these funny LEGO characters will hide in the exhibition, and the explorers who find them will be able to participate in a contest with many LEGO awards that will be drawn among those who manage to find them. Draws will be held from 12:00 to 13:00 on Saturday and Sunday. And from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

ALE! It was formed in 2009 at the Príncipe Pío station where LEGO fans from Madrid and other parts of Spain met periodically, becoming in December 2010 as a non-profit Cultural Association. Although the members had been organizing amateur meetings since 2008, the first of these characteristics organized by the Association was the first edition of MadBrick in May 2010, held in Cosmocaixa and which has been consolidated as an annual event that has already held five editions In Peques and Más we visited it in 2012.
