No doubt Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but not only for children, but for everyone, and also for pregnant women. Despite the discomforts that some pregnant women may suffer in the morning, very few skip breakfast.

According to a Sociological Study on Vitality and Nutrition in Spain conducted by the Kiwi brand Zespri, 99% of pregnant women have breakfast every morning, dedicating between 10 and 15 minutes to the most important meal of the day, more than the rest of women and men. Pregnant women take breakfast seriously.

They are aware of the importance of starting the day with vitality. The vast majority of pregnant women are clear that when they do not eat correctly at breakfast they feel more tired or in a worse mood.

A good breakfast must provide between 20 and 25% of daily energy intake and should include foods from four different groups: Dairy products, cereals, fruit and others such as oil, ham, etc..

According to the Zespri study, the fruit is a great absent at the breakfast table of the Spanish pregnant women. Only 15% take any piece of fruit at this time of day.
