Aid in Italy for pregnant women who decide not to abort

The European scene is scrambled. On the one hand, in Spain the baby check is eliminated, in the United Kingdom, birth or adoption assistance is also canceled, while in Italy, aid is given to pregnant women who decide not to abort.

It is an aid of 4,500 euros, to charge 250 euros for 18 months, so that women in the Lombard region who intend to abort do not do so.

The plan has been launched by the conservative party that governs the region with the goal of reducing abortion rates among women, but giving money in exchange for giving up abortion is the solution?

I do not think so. While it seems right to me that the pregnant woman is considered an alternative to move forward with her pregnancy instead of abortion, there are many other things behind that should also be taken into account.

The figure is a help, but it certainly does not solve the child's life. On the other hand, the decision to abort is not just a matter of money. Of course, it is a very personal situation, which everyone will evaluate and weigh if the money really convinces him or not to give up the abortion.

Future moms who want to benefit from this help will have to submit an abortion request motivated by financial problems in a hospital or family office. The workers of these centers will interview the applicant and will be in charge of presenting the new help.

As a result, another issue arises that undermines the main objective. How to differentiate who really decides to move forward with pregnancy and which ones pretend to collect help
