More initiatives like this: "If you want to breastfeed your baby, pass without asking permission", and a hot tea is invited for free

It seems a lie, but with some frequency we continue to hear news of mothers who have been "invited to leave" from public places such as restaurants, airplanes or exhibitions for breastfeeding their babies. Although it is something absolutely normal and natural, there are those who see it as inappropriate, or worse, as something obscene.

Well, to change mentalities you need initiatives that encourage the opposite, that invite mothers who wish to breastfeed without permission, as you can read in this poster of the Rojas Resto Bar, a bar in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. And not only that, but also they invite you for free hot tea.

It is a great initiative that started a couple of years ago in Chile and to which two mothers from Guatemala joined 15 large establishments to start it. They did not receive a response from the greats, but several businesses in the country have been added and also outside its borders such as Argentina, Costa Rica and even some places in the United States.

It should be normal

Actually, It should be normal for you to enter a bar without asking permission to breastfeed your baby. Except for the courtesy of offering a juice or a tea for free, that already depends on each establishment.

I have done it several times taking advantage of a break on the walk when one of my daughters asked to eat. You sit in a bar, you breastfeed quietly while you ask for something to drink. I have never had any problems, but certainly a greater normalization of breastfeeding is needed in public. And seeing posters like this on the streets and shopping centers would contribute to it.

Congratulations on the initiative Al Rojas Resto Bar that hopefully extends to other bars, cafes and restaurants. While the photo is from a year ago, all nursing mothers are always welcome.
