Symptoms of premature delivery

Preterm or premature delivery occurs when the delivery is advanced three or more weeks from the expected date of birth. In the medical control, the gynecologist can determine if there is a risk of premature delivery and will indicate the symptoms to the mother, to recognize them and to attend the hospital at the time they appear.

The danger of premature delivery is for the baby, as it can cause a greater risk of disease and may even die. In principle, this is due to lung immaturity and the possibility of brain hemorrhages. The more premature the delivery, the more dangerous it is for the baby.

Although premature birth can be prevented thanks to a combination of medications and rest, there are even medications that accelerate the development of the lungs, you should know the symptoms of premature delivery and go to your hospital if you perceive them. * Contractions every 10 minutes or more often. * Fluid with blood or transparent, pink or brown dripping from your vagina. * Pressure in the pelvis, the feeling that your baby is pushing down. * Slight pain in the lower back. * Pains such as menstruation. * Abdominal cramps, with or without diarrhea.
