Facebook removes photos of girls pretending to breastfeed their babies (and apologizes)

Days ago, Facebook has decided to remove photos of girls pretending to breastfeed their babies from the Express Yourself Mums page, created by a group of mothers who support breastfeeding.

The photos are of the daughters of the creators of the page, who like any girl of their age play to feed their baby, in this case breastfeeding, as they saw their mothers feed their little brothers. It's that simple and natural.

The issue is that Facebook administrators found it inappropriate and they have removed two photos for a “violation of the policy” of the web that prohibits including nudes and obscenities, although later, due to the pressures of social networks, They have apologized and restored the photos.

The mothers who uploaded the photos on the social network certainly did not see anything wrong with them. They simply wanted to share a sweet moment of their daughters with the rest of the mothers' community.

The hard thing to understand is how Facebook can see something bad in these photos, if they are the most innocent, although it is not so strange if we remember that it has already censored photos of mothers breastfeeding their babies.

It will not be the last case of withdrawal of photos related to breastfeeding babies, because unfortunately it is still seen as something obscene, an absurd posture that in no way helps to normalize breastfeeding.

It would be necessary to ask if the photos had been restored without pressure from the community. Probably not. But the reaction of the users and finally the excuse Official by Facebook are a good sign.
