Avoid and cure insect bites

Summer is the time of the year when children they suffer more frequently from insect bites.

Mosquitoes, bees, wasps and other bugs have a good party with the delicate skin of our baby.

Therefore, especially if the child is allergic, it is better for parents to take some precautions to avoid the annoying and sometimes painful and dangerous bites.

Whenever we go outdoors with the baby or children, we must put some kind of repellent on them. There are some indicated for the skin of young children and others that work by ultrasound to repel them.

At home we must also use some insect repellent system, especially for use at night if we do not want children to wake up "eaten." It is recommended at the same time to avoid using shampoo, soap and scented creams because they attract insects. Wear light clothes that attract them much less than dark clothes.

If you have not been able to prevent the insect from biting you, take note of what you should do. First it is important that you know what the "guilty" insect was and if the child has a single or several bites.

Remove chains, rings and bracelets from the affected area, wash very well with soap and water. If you have a stinger inside you have to remove it with tweezers or gently rubbing the skin.

If inflammation occurs, apply ice or cold packs to avoid swelling and pain.

Watch the wound at all times. If it becomes very swollen or if there is an alarming or possible allergy symptom, go to an emergency department immediately.
