Safety device to control children in the street

In Xataka they tell us about a child safety system devised by Panasonic That is being tested with children in Japan.

It consists of a sticker that is installed in the child's backpack and that when passing through the street lamps equipped with cameras is sending the images to the mobile phone or to the parents' computer with the date and time they were taken. The idea is that it be installed in the usual paths that the child does daily as for example from home school.

This type of extreme security generates some controversy because, as with microchips with locators, some consider that it invades the privacy of the children, controlling at all times where they are and at what time.

However, maybe I am too obsessive but I think that when my little girl is old enough to start going to school alone, this system would leave me much calmer.
