"Mother of many": beautiful short about the work of midwives

Today I was able to see, together with my son, who loved it, a beautiful animated short film about the work of midwives.

Is about Mother of many, a short film that, in the last BAFTA awards, awarded by the British Film Academy, won the Best Animated Short Film category.

It lasts 6 minutes and is a tribute to the work of midwives, since its author, Emma Lazenby, is the daughter of Pam Lazenby, who was a midwife from 1980 to 2008.

The beauty of this short is not the quality of the animation, reminiscent of the type drawings South Park, but the emotional load of the images we can see. There are several mothers about to give birth and their babies about to leave, the faces of concern of the parents, the different feelings of the mothers and, above all of them (or below, as you look at), the smile, the calm and delicacy of those who have to lend a hand if there is a need for it: The matron.

I hope you like it as much as we liked it. Only one doubt remains, do you think it is representative of the work performed by midwives in Spain? I ask because I am sure that a few could be the protagonist of the video, however I am also sure that many others might not be.

By the way, have you noticed the different positions that each mother adopts when giving birth?
