The OCU analyzes baby diapers and the result is surprising

If you stop anyone in the street and ask them which diapers are better, they will surely answer the same thing: the Dodot (or "dodotis", as they have known each other for a lifetime).

The OCU (Organization of Consumers and Users), however, analyzed a few months ago several brands of diapers coming to the conclusion that the best are others, the verdict is quite surprising.

In total, he analyzed 11 disposable diapers and two fabric models, all of the most used size, the 4, which is the one that is usually used from 9 months until the diaper is practically left.

How did the analyzes

To carry out the tests they used baby mannequins capable of imitating children's movements and urinating (synthetic urine, of course), as if they were boys and as if they were girls.

They measured the amount of liquid that diapers are able to retain by simulating daytime use, changing diapers every 4 hours and then changing them every 12 hours, to simulate nighttime use.

Finally they checked if the baby's ass was kept dry, with a ray of light that helps to know if the moisture stays inside the diaper or reaches the surface of the diaper, then coming into contact with the baby's skin.

Cloth diapers were also tested

They tried brand cloth diapers Blueberry and brand Popolini and they observed that, although they are one-size-fits-all models, they serve for newborn babies and up to two and a half years, they were worse adjusted than disposable.

The Blueberry they got a score of 59, at the same level as those located in ninth and tenth place of disposables.

They have a very bad perspiration, a very good absorption for boys and very good for girls (at the level of the best disposables), a very bad fit to the body and the soft touch of the inner tissue is acceptable.

The Popolini on the other hand they obtained a score of 44, being the worst score of the entire comparison.

And the smell?

I have been a father for 6 years and I have already changed a few diapers. However, I have not tried too many because the three times we have tried to change the brand the invention has left us frog. When we tried the Mercadona Deliplus, we realized that the urine smelled much more than when we used the Dodot, so we went back to them. We tried the Huggies and the same thing happened, they didn't neutralize the smell so much. Finally we tested Eroski's, which at the odor level offered no problems, but caused a reaction in the skin of our son Aran that made us reject them.

Come on, we've always come back to Dodot. After this comparison I will go one of these days to the Lidl to try the Toujours (I will talk about it), if we like them, and if they neutralize the smell like the Dodot (this has not been discussed in the comparison), we may give the change. After leaving Movistar to go to Pepephone, nothing scares me anymore.
