Today I bring you another idea of Crafts to do with kids. For those who like it cook with children, with this idea you can have a set of wooden spoons so that it forms its own kitchenware.
Cooking and art are very close, in both, children develop their creativity, sense of touch, sensitivity to colors, thoroughness ... with this set of spoons with fruit motifs, the children will be delighted to have their own kitchen set as well as having a great time while painting it. The other day we saw how to make a recipe book for the children to point their favorite ducks; Little by little our children will become the chefs of the house.
Material needed to paint the wooden spoons
- wooden spoons with the flat handle (you can buy a pair of packs, one for you and one for the child / children)
- painter's tape
- Acrylic paint (citrus colors: yellow, orange, watermelon, lilac, green ...)
- acrylic paint for children
- Brushes
- sandpaper (or failing a scourer)
- kitchen finish wood spray
How to paint the spoons
- Gently sand the spoons handle so that the paint adheres better.
- We put some painter's tape towards the middle of the spoon to mark the limit of where we want to paint.
- We paint each spoon of different color, each of the color of the fruit you want. In the tutorial that I show you as an example they have made: watermelon, strawberry, carrot, banana, zucchini and eggplant.
- Once the paint has dried, we spray the painted part with the finishing spray. We leave the painter's tape until it has dried completely.
- Once the spray has dried we can take out the tape and ... finished crafts!
