Futbolín de Campanella inaugurates the San Sebastian Film Festival

I really liked the words of the film director Juan José Campanella when before the premiere it opened the 61st edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival He commented that what he most regretted is that his new movie called Futbolín, animated, was not going to be presented in a room where the audience was children. And is that Foosball is a movie for kids which has already been released in Argentina with a resounding success (more than one million tickets sold, and is scheduled to be released in Spain at Christmas 2013.

The film has been made by 3D computer and is intended for all audiences. Below you can see a trailer dubbed into Spanish from Spain and some of its characters. Futbolín tells the story of Amadeo, a shy but talented boy, who must face the most fearsome opponent on a soccer field: the Crack. For this he will have the help of some football players led by the Wing and his charismatic right winger. In addition Amadeo will embark on a great love adventure. Fubolin is a story that recovers children's values that parents like to practice and know our children: honesty, solidarity, effort, love, passion and respect and that adapts the story Memories of a right wing by Roberto Fontanarrosa.

In Argentina the movie is called Metegol, the football game is called that in that country. And its official poster is very successful with those football players coming to the real world, with the appearance of players that parents have seen as children, and with that adaptation that makes toys come alive and interact with human beings.

I think the movie follows the line that marked Break Ralph! of vindication of the life of the 80s in Spain in which a spirit of neighborhood, of proximity, of the atmosphere of camaraderie of the town and that the director probably lived in his childhood.

And of course it also seems to consolidate the success of the animation cinema that Pixar started years ago and that in Spain is being promoted among others by Antonio Banderas with the Kandor Studios and the recent premiere Justin and the Sword of Valor or The Adventures of Tadeo Jones with its director Enrique Gato. And it is that children go to the movies with their parents, parents that when we were children we got tired of watching adventure and entertainment movies like the ones that Steven Spielberg produced and produced for us.
