'Angkor' in Portaventura: 10 minutes touring vegetation and temples like those in Cambodia

The Portaventura theme park, which as you know is in Tarragona, incorporates two novelties for this season: one of them is the one I present today. This is "Angkor: Adventure in the Lost Kingdom", and is located in the area dedicated to China.

It is inspired by the Asian jungles and is a gentle family attraction, with access for the disabled, and whose minimum height to enjoy it is 1.30 meters (children accompanied by adults, it is not necessary to meet this requirement).

Angkor is full of surprises, the first is that it involves participating in a naval battle for a thematic tour in which the vegetation and temples of Cambodia are recreated. Thus, while children and adults make the route uploaded in rafts, they will encounter villages, stone elephants and several challenges to face.

In this fun battle with water guns, the targets are the other boats, but also the spectators outside the attraction. Angkor occupies 10,500 m2, that is the space equivalent to a complete area, and the tour is 10 minutes, making it one of the most important 'boat ride' attractions in Europe. They have 14 boats with capacity (each) for eight people, and every hour they can serve approximately 726 people.

Behind the design of the attraction is the company MACK Rides, one of the world's leading companies, specializing in manufacturing world attractions; they also own Europa Park (Germany)

Angkor, responds to the strategy of uninterrupted expansion initiated years ago, to turn the resort into a reference holiday destination. And as you can see on their website, they not only offer information about the park, but also about nearby accommodations, the Costa Dorada, and Barcelona.

Right now there is a very interesting promotion at Hotel + Park Tickets, which you may want to check, is valid for reservations made until July 13, 2014.
