Crepes with cream and jam for snack

During the summer, children exercise a lot and it is normal that they are very hungry at snack time. That is why we propose a very comfortable snack that you will also like very much. Today we are going to prepare some crepes with cream and jam for snack.

When I tell you that you can have the crepes made and then freeze them, you will understand why it is a very comfortable snack with which we can look great and it won't take us more than 15 minutes to have a dish prepared for everyone. In addition, the variations that it allows with sweet or savory fillings make this recipe also serve you for light dinners, desserts or for what suits you.

Ingredients for about 15 crepes

  • 125 g of flour, 2 eggs, 25 g of butter, 250 g of milk and a pinch of salt
  • Marmalade to taste and whipped cream or chantilly

How to make crepes with cream and jam for snack

Mix the flour with the eggs using the rods. Then gradually add the milk and melted butter. We left stand the dough in the bowl for half an hour in the fridge. When we go to make the crepes, we take out the dough and leave it at room temperature while the pan warms up.

When the pan is very hot, we take a little butter and spread it with a paper towel. Then we put a dough ladle in the center and we extend it by moving the pan until the entire bottom is covered. We wait for it to brown and begin to peel off the ends and turn it over.

We repeat the operation until the whole dough is finished, stacking the crepes as they leave and leaving one on top of the other. Among them we can put if we want some sugar granules. Once the crepes are finished, can be frozen by wrapping the tower with plastic or cooking film and leave them for up to 4 weeks in the freezer. To use them, it will be enough to take them out fifteen minutes and they will be ready for the last phase.

We put a crepe already finished in the pan, add a teaspoon of homemade jam and fold the crepe on itself and again forming a kind of triangle. We add one scoop of vanilla ice cream or some whipped cream or chantilly and we serve it immediately to enjoy the temperature contrast.
