"Like all that": A poem for Father's Day (2015)

Today is day 18 and there are only a few minutes left for Father's Day. It is possible that you have prepared a gift or some detail for your creature's father (or creatures) or that it is the children who have made some crafts in the school on the occasion of this celebration.

If so, you may want to accompany him with a dedication, a few letters where you tell them how important they are in the family, in the equation, and therefore, as every year, I bring you a poem for Father's Day. Today's is titled "Like all that". I hope you like it.

Like all that

Like a ray of light in the fullest darkness,
Like a drink of water when thirst doesn't let you swallow
Like a sunbeam when the cold creeps,
Like an infinite hug to see you cry

Like a piece of bread after a long walk,
Like the moon that appears, for the little boat to light,
Like the voice that gives calm, when fear catches,
like the shoulders that rise to see beyond.

Like the love that comes back after years of failure,
Like the rain that wets the stem to sprout,
like the feather that slows the power of the sword,
Like the path that leads a clumsy walk.

Like the snow that makes children jump,
Like the friend who calls when you are alone,
like the wise man who illuminates with his word,
Like the laughter that cheers and infects the pair.

Like all that, and much more,
Like all that, it's you, dad.

I love you

And I take advantage of these words to wish all parents a very Happy Father's Day.
