I recently discovered the photographer Sena Line, renowned Brazilian artist specializing in taking pictures of home births. Some weeks his fame was triggered by this spectacular and surprising photo of a normal delivery of a baby that came from buttocks and who participated in the contest of the International Association of Professional Birth Photographers (who made a selection that I recommend seeing you). However all his work is worthy of admiration, with images so inspiring that they make the toughest and most valued the strength that we deployed mothers in that unforgettable moment of our life.
I confess that by checking your Facebook profile I was excited... it is incredible everything that can convey a photograph and the wonderful moments that this professional has been able to capture. One of the ones that has impacted me the most is the first. About her, she has opened many doors and it was a surprise:
It was a delivery of baby in position buttocks of surprise, since the baby was cephalic until the previous day. The bag broke, the mother went to take a bath, to wash, passed her hand and felt something, which was her daughter's foot coming out. Imagine the surprise! And, unlike when the head is born, total dilation is not necessary for a single foot to come out so small. Then I had the wonderful opportunity to take this photo and so many others only of the heel, until the labor arrived in the ejector. I had the opportunity to see, yes, being born from normal delivery in the buttocks is possible, when it is supported by a capable, safe team, who knows the right time not to act, and also to act efficiently and effectively when necessary.
Seeing the photos I have run out of words ... I think that captures in a beautiful way the miracle of life and of all the greatness that surrounds the moment of delivery. I can only recommend the profile of Line, who has beautiful and inspiring images of natural births.
