You play? to improve the quality of life and health

The biomedical company Pfizer Spain and the Valencian Health Agency, launched the Do you play campaign? with the purpose of improve the quality of life and health of hospitalized children. With the donation of these mobile phones (mobile toy libraries with children's toys) this campaign began with the purpose of distributing a total of 21 mobile phones this year for children admitted to 20 hospitals in the Valencian Community.

Dr. María Costa Ferrer says that recreational activity in the hospital is the best supportive therapy and improves the quality of life and health status of hospitalized children.

When they play, they can express their emotions and resolve their conflicts, with the help of toys, children channel the anxiety and fear that causes them to be admitted to the hospital, which can also cause psychological problems. In addition to stimulating their intellectual, emotional and social development, toys can mitigate these psychological problems. The ludomobile is a platform with wheels and with adequate dimensions to be able to move around the hospital, which transports playful material and toys to the rooms of the children's hospital, so they can develop their skills without moving from the room. It contains 90 games among which are toys aimed at children between 0 and 14 years, and are made with materials that meet the hygiene conditions required by health centers in addition to being of great resistance.

A good initiative, which we hope will extend where there is a child with this need.
