What does it hurt? If it hurts, report it. Campaign against child abuse

The Spanish Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs tries to encourage battered children to report their situation through the campaign What does it hurt? If it hurts, report it and end once and for all with the particular situation of each child who suffers.

This campaign is part of the National Strategy for Children and Adolescents (2006-2009), and aims to raise awareness among the entire population to eradicate child abuse.

Last year, a total of 6,400 children suffered harassment and punishment for their mistreatment, most were family members. It is certainly a painful situation and a general conscience is necessary, there are still adults who remain impassive if they witness or know that child abuse exists in their environment.

The campaign will be carried out through different media and brochures and posters will be distributed in various organizations and centers, in addition, different anti-abuse programs have been developed in collaboration with autonomous communities and NGOs and the records of abuse will be studied meticulously to know The actual degree of this problem.

In any case, if this initiative reduces the cases of child abuse, welcome.
