Maternal Mobbing, a real situation

Yesterday we talked about how the employment situation affected abortion and showed the figures that indicated a harsh reality, the work influences when making the decision to abort.

Today we read another news that outrages us and clearly emphasizes that young women who are pregnant are discriminated against at work. Apparently, up to 25% of young women who expect to be mothers between the ages of 18 and 25 are dismissed, moreover, pregnancy is emerging as the first cause of dismissal or threats by the company, the maternal mobbing it is a fact.

Those who run a company should rethink the decision to dismiss a future mother, as Conrado Giménez, president of the Madrina Foundation indicates, “Pregnancy should not be seen as a disease or a scourge but as an opportunity for self-realization by the woman and wealth creation for the company and our society ”.

It is unfortunate and sad that in the society we are in where equality is lavished and life is protected, where there is a worrying problem due to the low birth rate, these situations of maternal mobbing occur. Apparently our society still lives in medieval times, and just need to be reinstated the right of pernada.
