Papmi, Maternal and Child Psychological Support Program to promote good attitudes with children

The inexperience, the ignorance and even the lack of attitude, can predispose some parents to present a bad behavior with respect to the needs of their children, in some cases reaching the violence. In some informative media we have been able to verify this type of situation, the solution to avoid them can go through a specialized program where a group of psychologists advises and makes an adequate follow-up to all parents, especially those who have very young children.

A group of Valencian experts has presented a new program called Papmi (Maternal and Child Psychological Support Program), with which they intend to promote good attitudes in childhood and avoid violent attitudes against children.

The program has been developed by the Psychological Institute of Children and the Family and IPINFA, Spin-Off company of the University of Valencia. This program has already been used in other countries such as Ireland, where 500 parents participated, obtaining very good results. It is intended for parents who have children under two years, who through a stipulated schedule of visits, go with their respective children from three months of age and experts are responsible for assessing how the child develops with respect to people already the objects of its surroundings.

In turn, parents receive the appropriate advice so that there is an optimal understanding with their children and they are provided with the keys on the needs that children have at each stage of their development, discovering and solving the problems that arise during the upbringing of children. the children.

Thanks to this program the participating parents understand and act in a better way to meet the needs of the children.
