The summary of the Council of Ministers of today informs us that the Bill has been approved and sent to the General Courts, which establishes an economic benefit of a single payment for the birth or adoption of a child. It has been announced that this benefit will be one-time payment and that in the case of immigrants, they must be legal residents who have lived at least two years (those immediately prior to birth or adoption) in Spain.
Next Monday, July 16, the application form for the benefit will be available at the offices of the Tax Agency and those of the General Treasury of the Social Security, as well as on the websites of both organizations. There will also be a telephone service for citizens who need more information, on Monday we will know the two numbers that we can call.
They want the payment system to be simple for everyone, so there will be a “one-stop shop” with which to be able to satisfy most of the payments that must be made the month following the approval of the new Law, which as we said will be in November, so the payment will be effective approximately in the month of December.
