The Three Kings distribute candies suitable for coeliacs

Most children can enjoy the candies that give away wise men on the eve of the distribution of toys, but a small group may be unable to enjoy them for several reasons, one of them is celiac disease. The gluten that candies can contain prevents children from enjoying sweets as do the rest of the children, although this will not be the case in the town of Sant Joan Despí.

A celiac boy requested to be able to eat the candies just like other children and for this, he sent through the suggestion box of the town hall his plea to be attended by the Magi. From this year they will also distribute candies suitable for coeliacs, 1,700 kilos of candies with a special wrap in which the symbol of "gluten-free" appears will be distributed throughout the ride.

We hope that this initiative is supported by the rest of the Spanish populations, there are many children who suffer from this intolerance and who cannot enjoy the candies that the Magi distribute at the same time as the illusion.

By the way, something that we have also found very commendable is the intention of the town hall of this town to also distribute sugar-free candies for children with diabetes.
