Less child stress thanks to breastfeeding

There are many benefits that breastfeeding provides, thanks to it the baby improves his immune system, his development, emotional ties with the mother, etc. There are many reasons why we recommend the Breastfeeding, but now we must add another one, a group of researchers affirms that breastfeeding could also favor babies so that in the future they are much more resistant to stress.

To reach this conclusion the researchers studied 9,000 children born in the United Kingdom in 1970, monitoring their life and evolution. Data were collected through health personnel and medical reports of the time to know aspects about the birth of each one, the teachers who educated them were consulted and finally important aspects that marked the life of each individual were known through their parents, such as the possible separation of the parents when the child was still small, that is, everything that can condition the state of anxiety of the children.

The data set allowed us to know that those children who had been breastfed had a much lower level of anxiety than those who did not feed on breast milk. The contact between mother and child through breastfeeding helps children suffer less anxiety and stress. Recall that there are studies that show that in recent years the increase in childhood stress is significant affecting brain development, sleep patterns, etc.

Therefore, specialists strongly recommend that babies be fed through breastfeeding whenever possible, since there are many benefits in all aspects. Specialists indicate something that we consider a great truth, a good relationship between parents and children begins through breastfeeding and its benefits will be shown throughout life. The study data has been published in the electronic journal Archives of Disease in Childhood.
