Spain, the country where more parents smoke in front of their children

How are we going to educate our children smoke-free if they live tobacco consumption as the most normal in the world?

They see it on the street, on television and especially at home, where it is the parents and relatives themselves who smoke like chimneys in front of them.

According to a report from the Spanish Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery, nothing less than 92% of smokers have revealed smoking at home being the country where more parents smoke in front of their children, and rovocating that between 50 and 70% of Spanish children are passive smokers.

For more data, 85% of smokers reveal smoking in front of non-smokers, including, of course, children. To those who do not smoke and we pretend that our children do not do so in the future, these figures put our hairs on end. I imagine that those who smoke too, since they know about the harm it causes in children and babies to be passive smokers.

But where do we start, through the media, through health policies, through education? I think first and foremost by example, so, for the health of our children at least do not smoke during pregnancy or in front of a pregnant woman or children. Somewhere we have to start changing.
