Withdrawn 5 batches of Sanutri formula milk contaminated with salmonella

We bring bad news that shows that the measures and quality controls of baby food are not always as effective as they should.

The Spanish Ministry of Health has today removed 5 batches of milk for children from the Comfort and Natur ranges of the Sanutri brand due to salmonella contamination. The products have caused mild gastroenteritis to 29 children, 23 of them with less than a year, although fortunately they recover satisfactorily.

Those affected are located in different communities (9 in Castilla y León, 4 in Valencia, 4 in Andalusia, 4 in Madrid, 3 in Catalonia, 3 in Galicia, one in Murcia and one in Castilla-La Mancha), since the lots They have been distributed throughout Spain.

The company is proceeding to the withdrawal of the following 5 lots:

  • Lot number 708641 of Natur 1 (date of manufacture 11.12.2007 / date of preferential consumption 30.06.2009)
  • Lot 800052 also of Natur 1 (date of preparation 03.01.2008 / date of preferential consumption 31.07.2009)
  • The Comfort Lot 1 708311 (date of manufacture 27.11.2007 / date of preferential consumption 31.05.2009)
  • The Comfort Lot 1 number 801141 (date of preparation 06.02.2008 / date of preferential consumption 31.08.2009)
  • And lot 708321 of Comfort 2 (date of manufacture 29.11.2007 / date of preferential consumption 31.05.2009)

No product from these lots should be consumed, and if we have any of those products at home we must return them to the pharmacy, which will take care of removing them.

From Direct to the palate we are advised that it is best to return contaminated products to the pharmacy, or throw them tightly closed in the trash away from home to avoid contamination of other foods.
