I liked this calendar on-line which aims to bring the nature and popular wisdom of the proverb closer to the little ones. In the Ecocalendar we can select each month to discover what nature holds for us these days in Spain, both animals and flora.
I found it interesting especially that you can hear the sounds of animals. For example, in October we discovered that the zeal of chamois and mountain goats begins, or that the squirrel begins to store its food for the winter, or that the cranes fly over the skies, and we can hear the characteristic sounds of each animal.
But plants also have their prominence, and this month the fungi appear, or the strawberry tree has both flower and fruit. These data are accompanied with small illustrations so that the little ones learn to recognize nature.
Great also the collection of sayings which refers to each month or season.
"In October, fall of leaves and fire", "The best and most precious, for October is sown", "October, the best fruits rot", "By San Urbano (October 31), wheat has made grain" ... and a whole compendium of popular wisdom that must also be preserved among future generations.
