Feel like a Lilliputian in Gulliver Park (Valencia)

In the old channel of the Turia river we find a delicious corner for the little ones of the house to enjoy. Its about Gulliver Park in Valencia, in section XII of the channel. Based on Jonathan Swift's "Gulliver's Travels" story, this park represents the figure of the giant Gulliver lying on the ground, and immobilized with ropes.

So the children who run the figure of Gulliver look like the small lilliputians, sliding through Gulliver's clothes and hair, full of slides and ramps that make it a very special attraction. And it is that the sculpture measures 70 meters, and the aerial view is impressive: it is how the figure of Gulliver is best appreciated.

This park was commissioned in 1990 by the Valencia City Council to the architect Rafael Rivera and a fallero artist (Manolo Martín), with a design by the cartoonist Sento Llobel.

The giant is constructed of a resistant material, somewhat padded and with round shapes so that the integrity of the little ones is taken care of. A great sword and Gulliver's hat complete this place.
