There are two days left before a very special celebration begins. From 6 to 12 October, the International Week of Breeding in Arms is celebrated, which this year is presented in Spanish with the slogan "Happy and safe in your arms."
A highly indicated slogan that relieves the previous ones, which also emphasized the convenience and benefits of carrying our children in our arms: "Celebrating taking our children" (2008) and "Within the reach of your kisses" (2009).
Some phrases that remind us that it is not true that children "get used to it" if we catch them a lot, and that contact with them is fundamental, very beneficial for mutual knowledge and for the safe growth of the baby, apart from being comfortable for many occasions .
Portage workshops, talks or photo contests are some of the activities carried out in different parts of the world to celebrate this week. It is best to consult your area to know what is going to be done these days. The initiative is officially supported in Spain by the Kangaroo Network or the Maternal and Child Circle of Mallorca, where we can see the activities convened.
The International Week of the Foster in Arms, which is celebrated from October 6 to 12, 2010, aims to bring to society the ancestral practice of carrying our children with our bodies, which has so many benefits for babies but also for porters, moms or dads.
