Dodot rectifies child punishment

This morning we published an entry analyzing an article that could be read on the Dodot website that talked about corporal punishment, with recommendations to do so in a certain way.

Since yesterday, a large number of mothers and fathers mobilized at the blog level, through Facebook, creating groups against and entering the Dodot page at Facebook to leave messages contrary to said article and sending formal complaints to the Ombudsman.

Since Babies and more We support the cause with the entry that you have been able to read this morning and, at about 11:00 AM it has been possible to read on the page of Facebook from Dodot who removed the article apologizing for its publication. This apology has also been published on the Dodot website. The posted message has been as follows:

Thank you Dads and moms of Dodot for helping us realize this human and technical error that has taken place. That is why we have proceeded to remove the article by Dr. Suzanne Dixon from our website. Please accept our apologies and count on this not happening again. It is our commitment to continue learning, thanks to your help, every day.

Babies and more receive an e-mail from Dodot

At noon we received a message in the "wording" of Babies and more an e-mail of apology with a similar message, of which I want to highlight the following paragraph:

From Dodot we are against any manifestation of violence against any human being and we defend the rights and integrity of both children and adults.

In the same way they have been available to us in case there are any doubts about this, a gesture that is welcome.

News from the Ombudsman's Office

In addition to the numerous complaints sent on-line to the office of the Ombudsman for Minors, some mothers decided to make such a complaint by telephone, for immediate response. One of the moms who did it commented via Facebook that in the office of the Ombudsman for Children they were very surprised with this article and that, as it has been withdrawn, there is no need to take urgent measures. However, they have commented that they will follow the case closely by reviewing all the content of the Dodot website and also contacting the company to communicate current legislation concerning the protection of children.

Appreciation of Babies and more

Since Babies and more We want to make public the thanks to all the mothers who have supported the cause for the benefit of babies and children and in second instance to Dodot, knowing how to recognize the error and amend it.
