New covers for Harry Potter books (and we love them)

Many of today's adults have grown up with the books of Harry Potter in our hands, that many of us were already taken a little grown up. The first was published in 1997 (I was already 18 years old), but it was not an impediment for them to have a legion of fans of all ages, a number that continues to increase with the smallest.

That you haven't read any Harry Potter books with your child yet? Well, it is not a story that can be read in a little while, so perhaps you prefer to read it in those moments when he sits down to devour pages (or perhaps he prefers to do so, at his own pace). This is what they must have thought from the Salamandra publishing house, which has decided renew the covers of your books, probably to make them more colorful and appealing to children.

The artist in charge of making them is Tiago da Silva, which has posted them in high resolution on its author page of DeviantArt.

At the moment there are new illustrations for the first 4 books, which are the most affordable for children. The following are a bit darker and probably more intended for older children, almost teenagers.

I have in paper format, precisely, the first 4, and seeing the illustrations makes you want to renew them. Too bad the economy is not going to have repeated books.

How old are the Harry Potter books? Well, for the age when children enjoy them. That age when they still have an interest in magic, in fantasy, in reading stories of children who live adventures in worlds that don't exist, with incredible creatures. My son Jon, who is now 9 years old, read the first 3 last year. Now go with other readings, but most likely take the room shortly.

Finally, I leave you with an illustration that the artist also made for the first book, which was not accepted by Salamandra and that I personally like more than the one you see on the cover. What is your opinion?
