Children's clothing recalled

Today we comment the withdrawal of different models of children's clothing from the market It has been produced in recent weeks, and the number of products that arrive at stores when they do not meet the safety standards, and sometimes leading brands, always catches our attention.

The design and quality controls seem to be overcome (they will not be carried out as conscientiously as it should be), but fortunately once they are put on sale these products are detected as dangerous (we hope that most of the time without having supposed a real risk for any child ) and withdrawn.

These are products notified in Spain to the National Consumer Institute. Pajamas, dresses and jackets form this list that we detail below, most have been banned from commercialization due to danger of burns or drowning.

  • Two models of fighters (“Children's swim pajamas”, brand DISNEY BABY, ref. 98824 and “Blue and red swim pajamas”, brand PILLERIAS IMPORT, ref. 3337, code 0053589, sizes 1 to 24 months) have been withdrawn by risk of burns, since they do not pass the flame propagation test.
  • A tricot jacket for girls, TUC TUC brand (ref. 41904, size 3 months) has been banned from commercialization due to the risk of strangulation, since it has adjustable laces or ropes in the neck area, which is not allowed in clothing intended for Small children.
  • A baby dress, NANOS BABY brand is also removed due to the danger of strangulation by laces in the neck area (importation has been rejected).
  • A hoodie, BEST KIDS brand (art. CBO-10312, size 4 years) has been withdrawn from the market due to the danger of strangulation and another model of gray hoodie, brand HOPESTAR (art. BS-982C, size 8 years) for the same reason.

As we see there is the issue of adjustable ropes or laces in the neck area, which we must discard because of their danger and put on notice making a complaint or going to the Consumer Associations if we see them in any garment.

Among the notifications of this last month we also find several models of toys, pacifiers ... We recommend you go through the page of the National Institute of Consumption to know the details of children's clothing recalled and other dangerous products.
