"Summer Blue" and "Marco, from the Apennines to the Andes" are probably the two children's series that have brought more tears to children with their mythical episodes. Now, the adventures of "Marco" will be adapted to television in a miniseries of Antena 3.
Recall that the mythical series of Japanese animation was starring a child looking for his mother. In the television version, where the characters will be “flesh and blood”, the little one will be played by Sergi Méndez, the 10-year-old actor known for his role in 'Hispania'. Of course, it seems that he will not be accompanied by the monkey Amedio, and he will be missed.
The mini series, which will be released this Christmas, is being filmed in the port of Malaga and Maro beach, in Nerja (precisely where the episodes of “Summer Blue” were taking place), although the filming has other locations such as the Pyrenees.
Other characters in this three installment miniseries will be played by Ariadna Gil (Marco's mother), Ernesto Alterio, Álvaro de Luna, Mercedes Sampietro or Julián Villagrán, among others. It will be set today, as indicated by the fact that a social worker appears (Ernesto Alterio). This is the synopsis.:
Marco lives in a humble family in a small mountain town. His mother, a widow, has to leave to work away from home in order to support her children. In his absence, children are welcomed by a village marriage. Marco's life turns around when, suddenly, he and his brother stop hearing about his mother.No one knows where she is or can contact her; It has disappeared without a trace. With only twelve years, Marco, taking with him his little brother, decides to embark on a journey in search of him.
We hope that this version is not as tearful as the previous one of cartoons, I imagine that it will not be so child-oriented (although it looks like that made us suffer ...), but I am sure that the adventures of "Marco" adapted in the Antena 3 series they will be able to gather many nostalgic people from the series of drawings in front of the screens ...
