The family will only have to pay the expenses for extended hours or dining services.The gratuity will be applied to children who attend one of the 397 public centers of the regional network: 135 autonomous schools, 129 municipal schools and 136 children's homes.
The decree does not affect the public nursery schools of the City Council of the capital, since the mayor, Manuela Carmena, unlinked the centers of the capital of the Community network in 2015, at the beginning of her term.
However, these will also be free from September of the last year, since at the end of March the City Council approved a similar measure.

In addition to the free public nursery schools, the regional government has also approved today, the funds that will be allocated to the call 'child education check', intended to help defray the costs of private childcare authorized by the Community of Madrid.
They are 36,650,000 euros for the next course, which will allow granting up to 33,300 financial aid to children from Madrid between zero and three years, since the amounts of the scholarships range between 100 and 160 euros per month depending on the income.
This assistance will be granted to families with Children born before November 1, 2018, where both parents work, since "the objective of promoting family and labor conciliation".
To get these children's scholarships, Family per capita income may not exceed the limit of 25,000 euros. And, exceptionally, may be requested by parents of children over three years with special educational needs, who have to stay one more year in the first cycle of early childhood education.
