Yesterday we just read at home two of the books about the adventures of Moms Muu and the Crow edited by Maeva Young, are titled 'Mom Muu and the slide' / 'Mom Muu and the books'. In addition to these volumes, the publisher has also published the Catalan version of the latter.
The protagonist is a hilarious cow that is determined to discover the activities that children like best… So far everything is fine, only (sometimes) you also want to practice them, and that is when your friend Cuervo tries to put some common sense (without getting it). The adventures of this endearing cow (and a little crazy) are the work of the Swedes Jujja Wieslander and her husband Tomas Wieslander (died 1996). Eight titles translated into 30 languages have been published, and there are also cartoons based on the series. Among other awards, the authors have received the renowned Astrid Lindgren award.
The discovery of libraries and books are reflected in 'Mom Muu and the books', and while the cow is passionate about reading, the raven never ceases to be amazed at the fact that her friend insists on human activities' '.
In the other adventure, Mom Muu decides to try that new attraction that they have installed for the children who play by the river. The slides are not for cows, and it is she who discovers it after living an unforgettable experience, after all the most important thing is that children can play.
The illustrations are by Sven Nordquist (1946), one of Sweden's most popular illustrators. Y they transport us to a world where children, their world and (of course) the couple formed by Muu and Cuervo, are the protagonists.
These are beautiful stories that capture the attention of children very well. They can be indicated for children from five years, and constitute a birthday gift or that little detail that Ratoncito Pérez is thinking of bringing to your son.
