More reflections on the debate in 'For all' of the 2: the school seeks another education

Macarena talked to us a week ago about TVE's La 2 program in which education was discussed and illustrated with the title: the school seeks another education. What I appreciate most about the program, which as Macarena recommended, I have seen and liked from beginning to end, is the opening of new fronts, new ideas and new visions about education beyond the name of the free public school.

In general, what I liked most was the intervention of Manuel Martínez because he has very clear ideas and his diagnosis of education is one of the most successful I've heard in a long time because it goes beyond what happens in schools. In addition his proposal seems good to me although, to highlight what is seen in the video, I have not seen the use of technology. Yes I think children have to have a space away from competition and authority although it also seems to me that in his school the competition will exist, because it is a quality characteristic of the human being, and because the authority someone will have to exercise it so it will be necessary to think that the professors earn it and that the children recognize it in them in instead of being imposed.

In any case, I do not understand that parents participate in the educational process, especially because the parents, unless given a previous test, are competitive and belong to the real world, so what they can generate is a contamination of that environment. game, learning and prominence of the child. I would like to know how they solve it because of my experience in children's workshops that I have attended I have seen how the parents try to push the children to the competition with phrases like: "you have to finish now", "paint here", "you have to do this", ...

From the proposal of Ramón Flecha, Professor of Sociology, what catches my attention is that demand the application of models that have guaranteed and is obtaining results so I am surprised that your proposal is not accepted for the most part.

And the message of Mari Cruz Lagar (director of the SEK Ciudalcampo International School) few news because his speech is known by Nieves Segovia, director of the SEK Educational Institution, which we have been following since he launched the Global Eductation Forum initiative or sporadic interventions like the recent one in the EOI about Educate without corsets. In addition we have also known details of the educational Institution and recently we have interviewed one of the ICT Coordinators, Jorge Moreno. His message is clear and differential, the child has to develop skills and abilities and the school has to put all possible tools at his service to achieve it. Values such as student autonomy and independence prevail in their learning, which requires effort, organization and development of the critical vision.

So what I liked the most, for the novelty, is the vision of the Liberi school that also reminded me of the Waldorf we talked about a long time ago in Peques y Más. I think it is worth knowing more about Manuel's proposal Martínez and the Liberi school so we will be attentive.

Here I leave the video, again, in case any reader is encouraged to see it or if you want to comment. The 30 minutes fly by and it is very entertaining and dynamic. I especially recommend being attentive to the ease of communication of Manuel's message and his ability to collect data and transmit experiences.
