Pacopeco It is a project that offers a complete website, a cozy shop and a wide range of cultural and leisure activities to share with the family. Pacopeco is a space for the family and the store is also the first children's and youth bookstore in the Gibraltar Field. His great success has been working on and off the Internet the concept of quality shared culture and leisure for fathers and mothers with their sons and daughters.
The Pacopeco Store opened its doors to the public on March 12, 2012 in the Wide Street of Algeciras. Since then, he is not satisfied with offering children's books, youth books, educational games and even publishing news for adults, but is consolidating as a space where meetings with writers are held, they develop multiple cultural and educational activities and still has as its main objective promote reading.
In Pacopeco they have already held two editions of their Micro-Story Contest in 2012 and 2013. He has also collaborated with the Association of Friends of Science in another event called: What is science for you? included in the programming of Divergence, an interesting school sample of scientific experiences that go out from the classrooms.
In addition, and in collaboration with the Delegations of Culture of the municipalities of Algeciras and Los Barrios, have brought the school work to both municipalities Timon, the flamingo that the company Estudio Estudio Jerez represented after publishing a bilingual book of the same title that focuses on the first notions of the flamenco clubs and the values of friendship and environmentalism.
Also in pacopeco.es, with more than two years of life on the Internet, you can find a lot of information that includes a complete and varied agenda of activities to enjoy with the family. For example, you can find a space for children's and youth literature as if it were a library and others with a clear vocation of service and utility such as Parent School in which specialists expose their knowledge and offer advice. There is also a site called My school so that schools can publish their work and activities and many more proposals such as pacopeco plans, market of things and useful data.
Pacopeco is the name of a tongue twister although those responsible for this project have a clear objective: to offer reading spaces and access to culture and consolidate as a perfect space for the family.
