Ikea withdraws beds for children

Almost everyone has home furniture for children bought in the Swedish store, so you'll be interested to know that Ikea has announced on its website that it removes beds for children After receiving seven reports on the breakage of the metal bar that joins the railing to the bed structure.

The models of the beds are KRITTER or SNIGLAR, so if you have one of these beds at home, what you have to do is check the date of manufacture on the label on the headboard or at the bottom of the bed frame.

If the manufacturing date 1114-1322 (AASS) appears on the KRITTER bed and 1114-1318 (AASS) on the SNIGLAR bed, you need to contact your nearest Ikea store or Customer Service phone number to They provide you with a repair kit for free. With Ikea we know, even the repair has to be done by the customer.

While none of the reports received indicates that no damage has been caused by the breakage of the metal bar, Prevention is better than cure. So if you recognize the bed go running to verify the data.

The SNIGLAR bed is the one you see above in the cover photo, and the KRITTER model is the same but with the highest headboard with some cats as decoration. The photo that I show you below is that of the KRITTER model that appears on the web today, in which it seems that they have already replaced the bar that was incorporated by a removable safety bar.
