One thing that I have observed over the years in both my son and my nieces, is that they were always excited to eat things when we tell them they are "of older"That's why I wanted to prepare in this collection of recipes for back to school an ideal dish for tupper, a stewed chicken like that of the potitos, but older That never fails with the little ones.

As we are going to do with the first flavors that they liked so much when they were babies, the leek, the carrot and the apple and the most tender pieces of the breast, this chicken stew will love them and if we prepare it already cut into small pieces, they will not need help to eat it for what will be for them a meal of elders.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 2 beautiful, boneless and uncooked chicken breasts, 1 leek, 1/2 onion, 1 carrot, 1/2 liter of chicken broth, 1 apple

How to make stewed chicken like the potitos

We start by chopping the leek and onion into small pieces, and the sliced carrot. Do not worry much about this task, since after preparing the recipe we will crush all the sauce so that the kids don't find any piece You're welcome other than chicken.

In a large skillet, we throw all the vegetables with a little extra virgin olive oil and let them simmer with a pinch of salt. When the onion and the leek begin to be transparent, add the chicken in pieces. Stir until chicken breast pieces change color and they remain white.

Add the chicken stock and let it break to boil. We let it cook for 15 minutes. After that time, we peel the apple and cut it into pieces which we also add to the pan, letting it cook another 15 minutes. With that time, the chicken will already be very tender and the sauce will have thickened a little.

Now we just need to remove the breast pieces from the pan, crush the sauce with the blender with the vegetables and apples until you get a creamy sauce of light color, and put the chicken back into the sauce. We serve five or six pieces of chicken per serving and cover them with the sauce. You will see how they will love it.
