Tomorrow Friday Kalandraka opens space in the Barrio de las Letras (could not be in a better place in the case of an editorial). He pretends to be meeting point with authors and illustrators, also showcase for the novelties of the catalog of 'Books to dream'.
To complete the inauguration, Mariana Ruiz Johnson (the creator of 'MAMA'), will participate in the presentation of her book on Saturday from 12 noon; and it comes loaded with surprises, because children can enjoy storytelling, music and a plastic proposal, while they and their parents know Mariana.
MAMA is the latest addition to the Compostela Awards collection. Its creator, the Argentinean Mariana Ruiz Johnson, has elaborated a universal song to love and life in all its extension: from the human being through homage to motherhood, to Mother Earth as soon as she covers nature. Among its artistic qualities, the bright and exuberant colors of Latin American folk art stand out, with a special tribute to the work of artists such as Frida Kahlo and Paul Klee
You know, from tomorrow in Madrid there will be a new cultural space, and it will be very special (that's for sure). I wish many successes to activities such as exhibitions, reading promotion and talks that take place there.
The first exhibition of illustrations inaugurated by the KALANDRAKA SPACE - this Friday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m. - consists of a Tour of the works awarded with the International Compostela Prize for Illustrated Album, in its six editions. In the previous illustration, an image of 'La Familia C' by Mariona Cabassa and Pep Bruno.
And by the way, the Space is in the C / Santa María nº 16 of the Barrio de las Letras (metro Antón Martín).
