Starting to decorate Christmas: paper trees

Christmas airs begin to breathe, so we bring you today A beautiful craft to start decorating Christmas: paper trees.

It is a very easy and entertaining project that you can do with the kids. They will love it! You can make as many trees as you want and of different sizes, either to decorate the house or as ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree. So get to work!

It's a craft guru project Martha Stewart. We've already done it at home a couple of years ago and the kids have a great time, especially doing the snowy trees with glitter. In the photo you do not see the snowy trees, but I recommend it because it is beautiful. You can even make snow on the whole tree, placing glue and then glitter on the entire surface or locate the snowy area only at the edges, which is also very beautiful. You can use white, silver, gold or colored glitter, as you like.

But we go from the beginning. You will need green cardboard sheets, even of different shades of green, brochette sticks, golden balls for the tip of the tree (or stars) and spools of threads for the base, although you can also make both the ball or top star as the base of the tree with clay or clay.

Then, the procedure is very simple. You have to trim 4 or 5 circles of different sizes, depending on the size of the tree. One large for the base of 12 cm in diameter and the next two each smaller.

Once the circles are cut, you have to fold them four times each and mark them very well on the edges to create the Christmas tree effect. Then they are bored in the center and you pass them by the stick from the smallest to the largest, always sticking with glue from behind (ideally hot glue gun).

Finally, you place the tip and a base to hold the tree standing if you are going to rest it on a table. If you are going to put them as ornaments on the tree, you have to tie a thread at the top (I recommend you also stick it with a gun).

In the link below you will find an explanatory video of Martha Stewart to give you a better idea. I encourage you to do it with the kids. It is something you can do little by little. You have time to fill the house with lovely paper Christmas trees.
