The next December 13, 2013 the movie is released Free Birds (Go turkeys). It is a fun comedy for all ages, also available in 3D, in which you can see the adventures of Reggie, a turkey very restless and that moves away from the bobalicona attitude of the turkeys. It is also accompanied by Jake, an adventurous turkey that together with Reggie are determined to end the terror that these birds suffer each year on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday of November and that was the date chosen to release the film in that country. Now, almost a month later, this movie arrives in Spain in which turkeys are the absolute protagonists.
The movie is directed by Jimmy Hayward and the voices in the original version are the Owen Wilson (Reggie) and Woody Harrelson (Jake). In Spanish Reggie is Antonio Pagudo and Jake has the voice of Pablo Chiapella. These two Spanish actors are well known in Spain for a television series with a millionaire audience.
The plot of the film presents a family farm in which turkeys live oblivious to what lies ahead. Their goal is to eat and sleep while they gain weight waiting for Thanksgiving. so when Reggie, a turkey ready and marginalized by the rest of the tenants of the farm, discovers that they want to eat them prepares to make an advanced escape plan. Although the events exceed the objectives of Reggie by becoming a pardoned turkey, despite its low weight and unattractive and achieve its purpose, along with Jake, to respect the turkeys, even those of 1632, a very time far away.
In the movie there is a Bad, very bad which tries that Reggie and Jake's plans are not fulfilled, a love story of Reggie with Jenny, dubbed in English by Amy Poehler and in Spanish by Eva Isanta (which also appears in the series discussed above) and a good atmosphere with a fort, canyons, catapults, gunpowder, Indian tribes and small turkeys with large eyelets.
Surely this production of Tripictures will be one of the successes of Christmas on the cinema screens of Spain because in addition to an original and funny story it presents some nice characters, with great drawings and with beautiful adventures that include trips to the past and the future . Free birds lasts 91 minutes and as we have commented you can see in 3D in the rooms that admit it.
