The Chess and ADHD project of Club 64 Villalba

The 64 Villalba Club It is a reference in chess and especially in the application of the benefits it can bring to children diagnosed with ADHD. He just held a conference at El Porvenir School from Madrid highlighting how chess can bring many social benefits and also in boys with ADHD. The conference was held for fathers, mothers and students of the center, as well as some invited people. In my case I could not attend although Luis Blasco de la Cruz He has sent me the information to comment on Peques and Más. In addition to Luis, Nicolo Napoli spoke and they explained @ 64villaba's projects related to Chess and ADHD which has been taught since 2012 in Collado Villalba and since 2013 in Alcorcón.

At the end of the talk, parents, mothers, students and teachers were able to ask their questions and share the experiences with the monitors and teachers. The challenge of Luis Blasco de la Cruz is to continue performing chats of this type in the centers where they are taught chess classes.

He ADHD It is not the only activity of the 64 Villalba Chess Club because it also has educational, social and therapeutic programs which are derived from the game on the board of the 64 squares.

For example, Chess: awake mind It is a program carried out with the Department of Elders of Collado Villalba, for which 20 people from that municipality are learning to play and enjoy the benefits of chess and keep the brain in action.

I still look forward to interviewing Luis Blasco de la Cruz to tell us more news and progress with the application of chess for social programs of which we have written a lot in Peques and More and I hope we can continue to expand.
