The exhibition 25 years of Pixar animation arrives in Spain

Many of the films of our childhood They are not animated although as we have been growing and sharing the experience of cinema in the big room with the kids, the cartoons have remained among us as great and fascinating classics. The first movie I went to see with the little one at the cinema was Wall-e and obviously I had a much better time than she did with those silent adventures of a robot that explained to us that humanity was plunged into a deep crisis of values. I also liked it a lot Ratatouille with that extraordinary gastronomic critic called Anton Egon That made us return to our childhood thanks to a plate of food cooked with love. Although those of Toy story are the ones that have given more fame to this dream producer driven by the animator and creative director John Lasseter, there are a lot of movies and short films that returned us to childhood although this time with our children

Pixar have 26 Oscar Y 7 Golden Globes Among other awards. And now an exhibition celebrates its 25 years after going through the MoMA in New York. In this exhibition you can see many of the models, drawings, storyboards and digital installations from which their productions were born. The appointment is the CaixaForum of Madrid March 21 to June 22.

Pixar's story is that of experts in digital art who in 1986 were encouraged to tell stories by taking advantage of computer animation. A quarter of a century later, Pixar is a symbol of talent, creativity, imagination and innovation in cinema. The first was Toy Story, in 1995, a film created entirely with digital animation effects, which taught us that toys have an exciting life and are reflected in the dreams of humans.

Pixar no longer exists, he bought it Disney, and although his films still retain their brand and their style, it does not seem that this rhythm of creative momentum can be maintained. Meanwhile we have to settle for second and third parts of movies although we don't lose hope that new generations of artists, creative, talented and entertainers will bring us back to the childhood that we carry inside and we can continue sharing with our children.
