Beware of inflatable castles

Lately we have heard from several accidents with serious consequences in inflatable castles that have flown with the children who played on them. And, although they are a very fun attraction in which the little ones have a great time, several considerations must be taken into account to avoid risks.

The first, watch out for inflatable castles outdoors on windy days. This has been the cause of the aforementioned accidents, since the restraints (in theory well placed) cannot withstand the wind at a certain speed. Therefore, do not risk if it is windy, in fact you should not risk those responsible for placing these children's attractions.

But there are more and more of these inflatables (in fact, much more than castles, since they adopt very varied forms, with slides, stairs, children's characters ...), of many sizes and for different ages, in public places, fairs or parties private ...

Therefore, regardless of the meteorological issue, here we leave others tips for the inflatable castle party to end without mishaps:

  • Look at the anchors of the attraction to see if you notice any anomalies.

  • The generator that keeps the castle inflated must be sufficiently separated from the rubber to prevent fires.

  • Check that the monitor in charge of the castle is of age and responsible with the users.

  • Follow the age recommendations in each castle: There are some small ones for the minors and others bigger, with more difficulty and complements, for the elderly.

  • It is very dangerous for younger children who do not stand up too well to play alongside other older children in the same castle.

  • If you are going to rent a castle for a private party, make sure that the inflatable is approved and placed with all security guarantees, with the anchors well secured ...

  • Let the inflatable provider give you all the information regarding the recommended age of the children, maximum weight, number of participants in the game ...

  • Do not risk the party if it is windy to place the castle outdoors: it is better to change to a closed place.

  • Make sure children take off their shoes before entering (and better with socks, for hygiene) as they can be harmed.

  • Talk to the little ones about the necessary prudence in this kind of distraction.

  • Never leave children alone in the inflatable, it can be dangerous and in a minute of distraction an accident occurs. If you see that someone is hurt, act quickly.

Definitely, inflatable castles can be very fun but with caution and above all do not take chances on windy days. In fact, I think that if we see one of these attractions running when it is too hot, we should notify the authorities to limit their use.
