Discrimination with the immigrant children group in Spanish private schools

The majority of immigrant children are enrolled in Spanish public schools, only 18% of them attend a private school subsidized by the Spanish Government. Apparently, this situation is the result of the discrimination that exists in some private schools who deny the school place through excuses and in a very subtle way.

Although it may seem somewhat surprising to be schools, places where culture, values of coexistence and integration should be the usual tonic, this situation occurs in private schools and there is also evidence of this.

To prove it, an undercover Peruvian journalist decided to apply for a school place for next year for one of his children, they told him directly that there were no places left. Then, after 5 minutes a Spanish reporter also went undercover requesting the same place, the result was very different, there is no fault to get a place. After this test, few doubts may remain, there really is discrimination, of course this does not happen in all private schools but in some. An immigrant child can bring many more benefits than harm, the union of cultures enriches and encourages different values of interest in our children.

We regret the bad attitude of some schools, we hope that the report of Tele 5 can contribute to change this situation a bit. If you have lived it, we would like you to share your complaint with us.
