The beautiful story of identical twins, who fought together against infertility and ended up sharing pregnancy

Jalynne and Janelle are identical twins and have always been very close. So much, that in the last months their lives have developed with great parallelism, which culminated last June with the birth of their respective babies, just a few hours apart.

In Babies and More we have echoed on several occasions similar stories, in which the connection between twin sisters has been, at least, curious. What do you think about it?

United for a time by infertility

People tell in the magazine that the sisters met their respective partners when they studied at the University of UCLA (California) in 2005. From that moment, Jalynne left to live with her husband in Arizona while Janelle stayed in California.

Both were always clear that they wanted to be mothers, but infertility was present in their lives for a while.

After months of searching, Janelle was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, and although she initially managed to get pregnant, it was an ectopic pregnancy and she lost it. Meanwhile, more than a thousand kilometers away, his sister Jalynne suffered two miscarriages without known cause.

They got pregnant at the same time

Over time, the sisters were able to realize their dream of becoming mothers, and the children were finally arriving at the family. Jalynne had three children and Janelle one, but there was still a surprise of fate that would unite them even more: two new pregnancies with the same gestational age.

Jalynne tells People that it was only four days since the pregnancy test had tested positive, when suddenly he felt a strange chill that ran through his body. Seconds after that rare sensation, her sister phoned to tell her that she had just learned that she was also pregnant.

Although in different cities, the sisters lived their pregnancies at the same time, getting excited together for each new trimester they started and excited about the idea of giving birth on the same day, since both went out of accounts on the same dates.

But as the birth date approached, the sisters realized that there was an important family logistic problem, because when the time came their parents could not attend the birth of both grandchildren, since among its cities of residence there were more than 1,000 km away.

In Babies and more A year later, the sisters who gave birth 15 minutes apart pose with their babies

It was then that Janelle and her family decided to move to California, and the births of both sisters were scheduled the same day and in the same hospital. His children were born just two hours apart, and although all cousins have a wonderful relationship, the twins are convinced that these babies will have even greater.

I don't know where to begin… however, I will start with this has been one of the best experiences of my life. My identical twin sister @janelleleopoldo and I got to experience our pregnancies together in the same exact gestational period. We both followed miscarriages, she had an ectopic pregnancy with emergency surgery and we continued to pray. We always dreamt of being pregnant together and it never worked out until this one: my 4th and last child and her second child. We knew God had different plans for us and we are so grateful we stayed patient during the difficult times. From the moment we found out we were pregnant, up until the delivery room felt like a dream that was surreal! Twins just share a special bond that others can't relate to unless you're a parent of a set, a sibling of them, or a twin yourself! The #twinbond is an incredible relationship that doesn't fade. We have been through life together from grade school, to college at @ucla @uclagymnastics to our Masters degree @pepperdine for Elementary teaching. Our husbands Brandon and Jason know and understand our relationship and they are amazing too. They even joke if you marry one, you marry both in the sense that we talk 5 times a day. Thank you @carieharrisphotography for capturing these beautiful “twins with babies born on same day” photos and @lizvalentinephotography for capturing our pregnancy photos !!! These bring tears to our eyes! These miracle boys will be best friends forever born on 6/18/18 together.

"I will begin by saying that this has been one of the best experiences of my life. My identical twin sister @janelleleopoldo and I we were able to experience our pregnancies in the same gestational period. We both had miscarriages, and she had an ectopic pregnancy with emergency surgery. But we always dream of being pregnant at the same time and it never worked until this new pregnancy: my fourth and last child, and my sister's second child "

"We are very grateful to have remained patient during difficult times. From the first moment of our pregnancies, and to the same delivery room, we felt that everything was part of a dream! The twin brothers share a special bond with which others brothers don't have it, and if you also have a twin, you sure understand me. The connection between twins doesn't fade away. "

"We have spent our lives together from elementary school and to the university in Ucla. Our husbands Brandon and Jason are also friends and they understand our relationship perfectly. They even joke that when they married us they also married each other, and is that we get to talk up to five times a day! Thank you @carieharrisphotography for capturing these beautiful photos of "twins with babies born on the same day." We are very excited! Our babies will be best friends forever. "

The connection between twins

I confess that every time I read these types of stories I get very excited, because personally I am still surprised by the special connection that twin sisters or brothers can have.

In the case of Jalynne and Janelle, I was impressed to know that they both lived at the same time the painful experience of losing a pregnancy, but that months later, both of them would experience the immense joy of knowing that you are pregnant again. Two radically opposite experiences in feelings, and lived at the same time!

It is true that the birth of their children occurred on a scheduled basis, so there is no spontaneous coincidence. Although, judging by other similar stories that we have shared, who knows if the cousins were born the same day they had let nature act!
