A high school teacher proudly counts on the visit of one of her alumni to apologize and thank her for her help.

The work of a teacher is rewarding and lasts at the same time. See how your students get ahead and become young with a future full of pride to any teacher, but you also sink to see how teenagers with great capacity throw their lives overboard without being able to motivate them to change their course.

And I know what I'm talking about, because I lived it in the first person as a teacher of a public institute. And knowingly, I have to admit that although there are teachers who do not deserve the title of educators, the vast majority of them do an excellent job that occupies them 24 hours a day, because they care about "your boys" always, and they try to help them on an academic and personal level.

Therefore, I am pleased to read tweets like those of the high school teacher Cruz Díez, that proudly counts the visit of one of his five "pieces", to apologize and thank "wholeheartedly" what she and another partner did for him. Without a doubt, a huge motivation to continue fighting every day of the year for the students.

All teenagers deserve help

Yesterday we were still talking about the convenience or not of thanking our children's teacher for their work with a material gift. And today I ask myself again: is there a better gift than to see how well your former students are doing in life? Without a doubt, I think it is the best gratification, although surely there are opinions for all tastes.

But at least, Cruz Díez thinks the same, in view of his emotional and sincere words in his Twitter account. There he explains how another teacher and she tried to work with some students of the institute, whom he nicknamed "the magnificent five" to get at least that they could be in a classroom.

He admits that it was hard, but to prove that one of them is happy and performs a job of responsibility and that he likes, rewards.

Today, a beautiful thing has happened at the instinct of those that make everything worthwhile: About 4 years ago there were five very careful pieces in the center. And when I say pieces, I mean PARTS. Those of you who are professors know what I mean.

After trying with them all possible disciplinary and coexistence measures, another teacher and I decided to work with them in our gaps as co-tutors. The objective was to try to work with them to achieve minimums that would allow them

Just being in a classroom. My greatest achievement with them was that they managed to make a 100-piece puzzle together. It gave them such joy to finish something together and without killing themselves that they broke the table on which they had done it (but that's another story). They brought me down the street of the

bitterness (although I didn't teach them), I nicknamed them "The Magnificent Five" and their picture is still hanging in my classroom. Well, today one has come to see us, to ask for forgiveness and to thank us wholeheartedly for everything we did with him. Now he is responsible for a sheet metal workshop and

He is happy and does what he likes. He found his way and has seen the effort we put in taking him there. And this is why we break our horns every day, although then we have to put up with shit everywhere.

In Babies and over 21 years later, a student thanks her school teacher and invites her to her Harvard graduation

Thank you teachers

The reactions have not been expected. The tweet has received more than 1,400 likes, and has been retweeted more than 400 times in just one day. Even the author has been surprised by the impact of her post.

I didn't think yesterday's story was going to have such an impact 😱. I have many mentions to read but we are evaluations and it does not give me life. Tomorrow I answer. 😊

Of course, there are comments of all kinds, even from other teachers who feel hurt because they fail to help all their students, although most of them recognize the work of teachers.

Many fellow teachers are frustrated at school failure, but we will not do so badly when we get, even with a lot of sweat, to transfer minimum educational values that take time to flourish, but when they emerge they make sense of such dedication!

Congratulations!!! Our children sometimes spend more time in school / insti than with families. Thank you for contributing to the construction of good people!

With what data does that statement ensure? I am going to give you mine: 11 years of interim and 23 institutes of Andalusia, and the vast majority of the teachers that I have found fight against the tide for their students. How easy it is to release shit.

But also of alumni who claim not to have had educators like Cruz.

I wish I had teachers like you. Unfortunately, I had to suffer real miserable and shit like teachers, and the damage they did to me is no longer fixed by anyone. More like you, please.

I have a similar story but vice versa. I was never a piece although I joined some. At some parties someone broke the headlights of the math teacher's car. That year I suspended them and no longer approved. Today I am 49 and I work on what I like.

And you do you think? Have you had teachers who have marked you and helped you to be a better person or to achieve academic and professional success? We are looking forward to knowing your story.
